Here's a pretty awesome guitar contest. How about a dream week of guitar workshops from some of the top players in the world? Sweetwater and National Guitar Workshop are sponsoring a sweepstakes for anyone wanting to improve their guitar playing.
The grand prize is a week's tuition, room and board at the Continent Guitar Festival in Montana. You'll get lessons and workshops all week long, and nightly performances from the likes of Pat Methany (Jazz), Larry Carlton (Rock), Alex DeGrassi (Acoustic) and Scott Tennant (Classical).
This is an opportunity of epic proportions. These guys are known worldwide for their talent and innovation in their respective styles. This is truly a chance to learn at the feet of some of the very best guitarists.
Get a load of the guitar workshops available to you at the festival. They cover jazz, rock, the blues and classical. They're even offering a beginners workshop.
This dream week has a value of $4400 - but this could be one of those priceless moments!
For the first prize winners, there's five weeklong sessions at the National Guitar Workshops campuses in five different cities.
Workshops are being held in Austin, TX, Chicago, IL, Connecticut, Los Angeles, CA and Virginia over the summer months starting at the end of June. A week's tuition, room and board has a value of over $1500. For more information about the program, check out National Guitar Workshops site.
Artists include John Petrucci (Dream Theater), Mick Thomson (Slipknot), Paul Gilbert (Racer X and Mr. Big), John Scofield and Tommy Emmanuel.
